Yup, it’s going to happen on 10/2. I know of one person getting let go, and it could be just one person here and a few there. But the information I have just acquired (big ears) is that it’s a guy on the 5th floor at 1 Lincoln. Sorry bro.

We saw about 5 people in total on our floor get the good ol tap on the shoulder and the “Come with me to so and so’s office please .” I heard some get let go by phone If not in the office on that particular layoff Wednesday. Their last day is right after good ol Thanksgiving. Thanks guys I am sure they are saying.

Laying people of before Thanksgiving, Christmas and afte New Year is nothing new at State Street.
During my time there I saw people being laid off in Decemeber.
State Street is a sh–hole. The worst in Boston
that is so nice of them to give a layoff notice a couple weeks before the holidays. i'm sure any people recently 'demoted' in their roles are freaking out. as they should be...
Rumor has it there are layoff notices going out again the first Wednesday in November. It is expected to be the last one for the year. They will start up with the layoffs again in January, after the holidays. if theres folks left to lay-off. People are quitting like crazy just to get out of there.
What some people need to understand , is the Senior mgmt is not going to let anyone know who is on the hit list.
They know if people knew they were going to be laid off in 3,6,9 months.
These people would start job hunting and leave the company , which would at the time cause a problem for the company.
So the motto is keep them in the dark, say nothing trick them into thinking they are safe.
Then when the time comes get rid of them.

Post ID: @11jT4YaA-wdt It is very discouraging to read all of these negative posts about potential layoffs. Unless you have peers who are in senior management or are in senior management no one really know who or when you will be laid off.
Looks like nothing happened this Wednesday. I’m hearing no more layoffs for the year only attrition
I didn't hear about anything in the US. I did hear about some folks getting let go in Hong Kong operations.
No layoffs in Quincy today, that we heard of anyway.
