Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

The future looks very bleak

2 % of the bottom stores will be closed. They've already been notified this year . Then next year the bottom 2 % and then the year after and so on and so on . Until there are no more non profitable locations, so statistically with the down trend in sales this may never stop until there is nothing left. Along with numerous slower pharmacies cutting back to one 8-10 hour shift daily. The future looks very bleak . It is just a mad money grab by the European Cartel that acquired this once great company, And raising the prices through the roof is the way these geniuses will raise their profit and chase away the remainder of its loyal customers . Used to be a customer and employee now I am neither. Instead of hiring a qualified CEO they've decided to go the cheap route and go with Stefano , who's philosophy is to cut hours , pay , maintainence and of course bonuses on subordinates demoralizing them even further. This is why the goals are so unrealistic as no one will attain them and even if they do the corporate multiplier can end up ZERO and any number multiplied by ZERO of course is ZERO. Just go find anything else as sooner or later it will be a mirror image of CVS . One cashier, one pharmacist and one member of management . This is a loss prevention nightmare as the boosters know these facts and steal at will as most of them have our protected keys from disgruntled employees or the internet . Walking out with hundreds of thousands of dollars weekly . Be sure and take this years survey , so they can create their own results . Maybe as a suggestion a request for lower pay , less benefits, and less hours would be apropos . Oh sorry I released their findings . RUN FORREST RUN!!!

Stores were notified your store may be on the closure list . The manager states he knows it' s only a matter of time. Nothing too concrete but the writing is on the wall since the store is losing every time the elevator or refrigeration breaks down , Thats all I can divulge . May even be a flagship location. Along with being within walking distance of 2 other locations. Nothing has been released to the public. Surely the employees will lose like normal.

I do know that they are changing the tier so more stores go to lower tiers and the store managers of those stores lose what little bonuses that ares left.

What is your source that there are 2% of stores that have already been notified? I can't find that that it is public knowledge - since you admit you are not an employee.
