"The king is dead, long live the king!"

Fry's stores have been ghost towns for years. Their online store never really got off the ground. Even if they were to maintain an online-only presence, it would not be able to compete with Amazon. Fry's won't die because it died years ago. It will merely close.
Lousy customer service was tolerable when both product selection and low prices were much better than anywhere else. That is no longer the case. Amazon beats Fry's on those counts, and Best Buy has far better customer service.
I won't miss Fry's much once it closes, but am very glad it was around in the 1980s to 2000s. It was an incredibly useful place to buy all manner of electronics for over 25 years.
Nope, it'll just close.
Sure, may not die just like the Black Knight in Monty Python wouldn't die....
Can't sell what you don't have. What Fry's does have are big stores with huge electric bills, a lot of capital tied up in empty shelves, empty spaces and dwindling staff. Then there are the local taxes and inventories coming up soon. It's looking like a perfect storm.
Fry's may not die, but it sure is smelling up the joint quite a bit..
