Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

New Global Sales Leader is a Hack

Hey lads, the newly announced world wide sales leader is completely lost. Clueless and just knows how to talk a good game but has zero experience. Leads by intimidation and just wants to start laying people off. Way to go RR on yet another fantastic member of the C-suit.

@11cYuLYz-7rvw HR Survey eh?

That's like passing a questionnaire on the Titanic that is half underwater and asking passengers about how do they feel?

Are you looking for a job?
Are you coasting b/c of monthly stealth layoffs?
Are you stressed?
Do you like management?
Do you like your comp?
Would you like to see free "airplane tier" sammiches in the breakroom?

Survey comes back with 1's out of 10. Management sees the results and confirms their thoughts. They throw it in the trash and smile satisfactorily knowing full well that 95%+ of yearly company RSUs goes to them anyways as they continue to bleed the company dry in below level mediocrity for a few more years.

I just learned that the WW sales leader notified his team that he has hired a new vice president into his organization. Also heard it is a long time buddy off his from the Brocade days. Best part is no one knew about this hire and no requisition was formally opened nor internal candidates were considered for the role, basically brought in through the back door into the organization, what a double standard! Funny to see he is brining in all his buddies that helped destroy Brocade to help him run the little that is left of Juniper to the ground. What a w—rr!

They never do anything with poor results anyway - only rationalize them. Never have, and don't know how to.

This survey is going to bomb. Juniper is doing as poorly as it ever has in the last several years.

You want to see a perfect illustration of the juniper brain drain? Go into brand connect, look up the headshots section, and out of the hundreds of pictures in there, almost the only people who still are connected to juniper are rami MM and pradeep. Sad.

We are lucky, now HR wants us to fill out the stupid survey. Think we'll ever hear the truth in the numbers? Why do they bothered?

The entire C-suite and most VPs, Senior Directors and Directors at Juniper are hacks.
I can only think of two VPs who are not worthless... the rest are an absolute waste of money with bloated job titles, full of hot air, and most likely over paid.

I found this old post from 11 months ago, the OP was spot on.

Well, my first post here as I have seen many and a few from EMEA too. I am based in EMEA. I moved to Juniper from Brocade in 2015. I almost had a heart-attack in July 2017 when I heard Marcus Jewell had been hired as the EMEA boss. He is ex-Brocade. He ran Brocade business down to ground in Europe just by firing people through years. We lost morale, stopped working, could only think of moving jobs. And this guy, nicknamed "Terminator" at Brocade, is now running the show at Juniper in EMEAR. As in Brocade, most people who was any good, knew anything good have either left Juniper here or are about to leave.

I handed in my papers last Monday. This is not an environment which can produce healthy growth. In EMEA its full of political, bullying people who somehow got promoted to "Managers". I know a couple who were made managers simply because "there was no other choice", as per TR, the SVP of Systems Engineering in EMEA. When things take that turn , its sign of times to come. Go whoever of you can and have a palce to go to or be subjected to sleepless nights, stress you don't deserve, get your professional self-respect be insulted daily by people who cannot even write emails in proper corporate English because they are "the managers".

The company shows no signs of getting rid of these cancerous fatty cells.

I gave myself 1 year to see if anything improves, but no such signs yet. Its circling the drain. Ciao and big middle-finger to some of those managers who I KNOW read this forum - you know who you are - at least one of you got caught posting here awhile back.

Sorry for disappointing you, mods here are pretty active, check this copy-paste from another forum board:

I've been on this site since 2015 (first with Verizon and now with GM) so hear me out:

  • mods/admins exist, they are silent tho
  • they delete messages, sometimes in bulk (eg all threads or all messages you ever posted by you or someone else may be nuked)
  • they block ip addresses, some vpns will not work as they are already blocked
  • some words are blocked and trigger reviews, try to enter xes in reverse and they'll review you
  • here are things that will trigger a review, purge or block: swearing, use of names, politics, attacking other people
  • got blocked once, never heard back from them and had to switch ip
  • if someone is crossing the line you can report it on the contact page
  • dont post in weird threads, they may bulk block you (if you do, use vpn)
  • they really cannot stop you posting, use a vpn and you are ok - if you are using a vpn, dont use bing ones like nordVPN as they have them blocked - pick a smaller providedr
  • try to avoid any discussion about race or identity groups, they dont f around with that - that's like an instant ban and all your older messages get deleted
  • i am sure there is more stuff that i am forgetting but this is it in the nutshell...

@11cYuLYz-rgd The mods don't nuke anything without your prompting them to. I can't believe a juniper headcount is dedicated to this site. This must be very bothersome to your horrendous leadership.

Site rules, don’t know why people don’t bother reading it before posting.
And of course, when mods nuke posts in violation, all kind of conspiracy theories arise.

Don’t name non-public figures, avoid foul language, criticize someone’s actions without throwing a personal insult. Simple as that.

RR has failed more ways than any other tech company board would tolerate. He has failed to support every employee in the company by picking absolute losers to lead every department - finance, engineering, services, HR, CTO and the list goes on.
RR didn't pick the CMO, but he has kept that loser on, for far too long.
Get no respect from customers, partners, analysts, and even competitors. We S—! Really bad.
