1: Staples had 2000 stores. Now it's 1100.

"alive" is relative retail certainly isn't thriving or expanding so there is minimal life, didn't SP put a DNR order on retail?
You can call retail team “ fat oozing slobs” all you want... but retail is “ALIVE” and dotcom was let go.

The retail team has no “fat” can’t say the same for those who did already get let go.
Where did you hear that? If they are trimming the fat on one side then might as well do the other. "Retail is safe" Please. Retail's got one foot in the grave and being pulled in by the corpses of KMart, Circuit City, and RadioShack.
Alive? Does that mean they will cancel closing 40 stores per year plus whichever additional stores are struggling?
