I hate it say it and I sincerely hope it doesn’t happen, but I think Vincent is going to run NLOK into the ground. When all is said and done, Lifelock may be the only part of NLOK left standing.
Vincent is in way over his head. Anybody can come into an organization and reduce headcount. You don’t need to give someone almost a million shares of stock to do that.
While the fate of the enterprise business that moved to Broadcom is still to be determined, Broadcom’s CEO Hock Tan knows a lot more about running a business than Vincent. Hock keeps a lid on costs, but understands that some level of investment is required to remain competitive.
