Thread regarding Sears layoffs

It's really a massive vote of no confidence on Eddie's part to close a third of the stores over the holidays

Think about it. He himself has zero confidence in Sears and Kmart as a brand and foresees a holiday season that's beyond dismal

Eddie didn't repurchase SHLD stock at $130 a share because he was smart. He talked about EBITDA all day, but the ITDA part is super important for any retail business in the long run. It amazes me that people cannot see that this was an intentional collapse. None of this is due to poor management.

For real how could anyone in their right mind think there would be any turn around this holiday season when nothing has changed for the better and they just chased off a good chunk of their loyal customers and employees after last years fiasco during bankruptcy, why would it all of a sudden turn around and become profitable? Everyone involved had to know this would be the outcome in less than a year
