Both Iowa Kmarts apparently on the list. Others noted the "No new layaways" sign posted on the front door.

  • 6 in Florida (3 Kmart and 3 Sears) - Lantana, Hollywood, Bradenton, Hialeah ,Miami, Ft Myers.

There is a newspaper article online about one of the store closings and in the article it states 140 more stores are closing on the new list out
After this round of closings That puts the store count for sears and Kmart at about 120

This makes sense. I got an email yesterday reminding us of our policy of not talking to media and refer them to corporate. I though oh must be something big about to happen.

The Billerica store is leased. Land is owned by Demoulas Supermarkets.

I’m surprised about Billerica, MA. It seems to do good business and has no competition, and the real estate isn’t particularly valuable
