Some bankruptcies are restructurings, some are liquidations. And anyhow bankruptcy will result in substantial job cuts and loss of new business. Let's see the Retention Bonus Secret Society try to run the company after anyone worthwhile has left. If you think your job s—s now, try working for a company going through bankruptcy.
Even if we file for bankruptcy, the shareholders and some of the debt holders lose out and the the jobs will likely go on as planned. Bankruptcy and liquidation are two different animals.
