It's been a year. most of the last of the transitions are leaving this week and next.
How has your year been? For those that left, and those that stayed, how are you getting on?

Looking for a job. 20+ years of MF experience. Very knowledgeable on storage admin and the Vantage tool. Any inside information on Broadcom looking to beef up that group?
Stay. Never in my life I earned that much money. That's the only reason to be honest why I'm still here I must admit. They throw really a whole lot RSUs on me and I make the best out of it. Work life balance is actually better than in CA and no one tells me what to do. I just need to get my work done. For discussions with clients you need to have a much thicker skin than in CA times as Broadcom is totallly different. That is often a real big challenge I must say.
When I signed the offer letter I made the commitment to myself that I will not look back. As long as it works somehow and I'm not losing my nerve I will continue and grab the money.
Heading out the door soon. Amazing how morale at the lower levels are in the dump...tired of the dictatorial, rule-bound nonsense...the only people making out are Director and above. The options they received are very good, for the rest of us..meh...even with the quarterly vest (which was nice of them to do...) it’s still 8 years...,yeah..folks will be around here in years...
Left in November. Haven't sought employment, I'm taking a soft early retirement for now. If I'd stayed, I would have been short-term transition, and the buyout seemed like much less stress and worry. I check LinkedIn to see who's still at CA and a few I know well are still there and I hope they're doing well.
Leaver here, had stay offer but left for a better position because I could not imagine to work for Broadcom. Best decision I've ever made, should have left CA years ago. Even with the accelerated rsu's etc, I am earning about 20-25 % more than before, in an interesting and developing industry, and a great company.
Leaver here, enjoying the life, thx BRCM for the big severance you gave me!
Developer on the MF side. It has been 99% positive. We were treated like absolute garbage under the previous regime, now we're getting new hires and new hardware. Hock knows where the cash cow is, and he is making sure it is well fed. Despite claims to the contrary, there are not cracks all over the old CA,. The MF is crushing it, and will likely continue to crush it as long as Broadcom sticks to the plan.
Leaver here. God it was a blessing
Stayer here. Buried with work and lack of a personal life. No discussions anymore. Just do it or else. Things are broken and few care,
Leaver here. I'm so happy the acquisition happened. Got a big payout, and now started my own company doing interesting work, and earning twice the amount
