I heard they are planning on closing the Three Rivers plant in MI too.
I know they do a lot of axle assembly for GM there.
I'm getting a little nervous, too many rumors flying around about what might be closing or who might be getting laid off. Do we know anything for sure?
Do I know for absolute certain? No.
But I work for AAM (not at Three Rivers) and I heard from a couple different sources (middle management) that corporate is planning on closing the Three Rivers, MI plant due to a spat with GM. Apparently GM wants to do the assembly theirselves. Not sure where though.
I first heard this two months ago when we were discussing the closing of Jernberg.
