Got their Turkey Day sale email (don't mention black friday at all or even Cyber Monday)- nothing to write home about basically the same carp that they have been having on their promo code emails except this time most of them are in-store only and you can't see if your local store even has any stock. No SSDs or hard drives CPUS motherboards or even any computers. I think they should change their store name to Fry's non-electronic we don't have it Junk store. Fry’s also cancelled the second Vegas location at Boca Park due to a dispute over Amazon paying sales tax... I think that was a red herring though.
Fry’s had a strong interest in Legends, however, Amazon pretty much k–led that idea off. The original anchors were supposed to be:
Scheels (still there)
Target (still there)
JCPenney (Chick-fil-A and Chase are on that pad)
Fry’s Electronics (I think Lowe’s is on their pad)
Walmart (Target quashed that idea - the old Northtowne store would have moved there instead of the Indian Colony)
Camping World (Paul Everett’s RV Country is there instead)
The Best Buy at Scheels was never busy, at least compared to Spanish Springs, Reno or even Carson City. BBY is trying to close some of their least profitable stores in order to avoid Frys’ fate. Frys would have done good in Sparks, however, at this point, it’s pretty much pointless. I was hoping for a Micro Center, but I’m not sure how well that would work given that the only other store west of Denver is in Orange County.
Is the original poster a troll or just really clueless? Yeah I’m sure they planning to open a new store when their current stores only sell cases of water.
