Please respond if you got a text from your supervisor to be at the conference room Monday AM at 7:30. Just showed my wife and she started to sob as we had been talking layoffs. Not sure how we will manage with kids and bills. Sad.
Got to travel for work tomorrow. Yes I know it’s Sunday but have to be in the field Monday AM. I think this is the last time before layoffs.
Based on all these posts, can anyone tell me are layoffs happening by the end of this year? I have to plan for my future and that of my family. Serious replies only!
How is it leadership does not get the call outs on Black Friday? Here I am out on location verses time with. Family. True leaders lead by example. Our example of a leader seems to clog toilets and layoff or “retire” jokers that add no value. Lead by example and give yourself a severance package to save a once great company. Me and my SWN family want a prosperous 2020.

Boy can I relate to that last post. I have a couple of millennials at home still. Can’t afford to be laid off from SWN. Mortgage wife kids and bills too
So I’m super nervous about layoffs. Working up the nerve to ask my Grammy and Gramps at Thanksgiving if I’m going to get any kind of inheritance when they die, cause I’m going to probably get laid off oh and I also don’t have any spare Benjamin’s cause I spend about $600 a month on pumpkin spice lattes at the Market. I’ll have to explain to Grammy that we call them PSL’s and stuff. Going to be a stressful Thanksgiving, because they’ll call me a snowflake. I’m sensitive to this kind of stuff, but I just can’t get laid off.

Thank you for ruining my Thanksgiving. My extended family is coming in, including Cousin Eddie. I was going to reveal that I’m putting in a new pool with my bonus, but if I’m getting laid off, there will only be Jelly of the Month club, at best. They will all be disappointed and I’ll be labeled failure. :(

Agree with last post. Fake news. We will never see anymore layoffs under current leadership. Any leader who would spend $100K of his money to buy company stock is a Wall Street wizard. Pure genius.

It never gets old. This Sheetz coffee is piping hot and I’m on location in them hills of WV. Hadn’t warshed my safety award yeti coffee jug in about 4 weeks. Not since the last double shift anyway. Still waiting on layoff news. I don’t think them guys can find me out here, but I think those clowns from Spring are first up in the layoff line.
I tend to agree with last post. Our CEO is the incarnation of the captain on the Titanic. His leadership since 2016 has steered us to the iceberg. We all know how this turns out. Grab a life jacket aka severance package soon
Other companies in much better financial positions and much much better assets are laying off now. Apache, Williams, etc. Its only a matter of time before we face the harsh reality of more layoffs at SWN. This pork belly stuff has to stop somewhere. We was working hard in location waiting for any layoff updates. Stopped by for a Sheetz piping hot coffee. Almost had a recordable cause it was so hot. I must have a doucher of a boss. He’s always sending emails starting at 3pm on Sunday asking for a status on several items. I guess so he can prepare for a meeting on Monday. Why doesn’t He ask me on Fridays? Or Thursdays. This is family time. I’m a devout Baptist as well and this is religious infringement. I fear that I’ll be laid off if I suggest otherwise. My boss is usually drunk on Thursday nights and I assume most of the weekend until he starts getting ready for the work week. His young kids must be so proud!
Trying to follow this thread. For real are layoffs pending this year? Besides some of the funny witty posts in this thread I think we all see some layoff Easter eggs. Our CEO will boost bonuses with layoffs by year end. I think I am safe and seriously I work in Land and not just saying that but helps when I network with leadership. I was certain we’d be hearing layoff updates by now. Someone said they’re be an announcement? What’s up?
I remember the military always had a good reply to those who wanted pay raises and bonuses.
But bonuses won’t be paid to everyone. In fact, no bonuses for many folks and big bonuses for those deemed to have done the best most impactful work. Those hanging out at the coffee bar all day posting to layoff dot com are likely in for a big disappointment come gifting season. I for one, will be getting an all time high bonus.
Any news? Rumor has it biggest bonuses to be paid out for our outstanding performance this year. No “way” can this be layoff news?
