Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Storing

400 more locos to be stored that's 200 more craft people going home right at the holidays. There seriously needs to be a system wide strike, let's pick a day and shut the system down for 48 hours transportation and all. Spread the word lets pick a date and fight back there is power in numbers

They are trying to pack in SD70s into our storage tracks. We are already completely full. Good luck brothers

Sh– you cant even get most greedy old f—s to give up their overtime while people are furloughed let alone miss a day of pay. More employees will be furloughed and more overtime will be called. Merry Christmas from UP. Fritz and Vena are thinking about you as they cuddle on piles of money in front of the fire.

Yesterday our shop planner told us 500 more SD70M's going to storage, as well as 'bad actor' AC4400's that have multiple repeat RX's. Believe it or not if you want, but if you need more proof that people are going to be furloughed, just read the transcript from the quarterly earnings call. Multiple analysts asked our executives about the company head count, and the responses were not favorable for employees.

As long as they don’t store the big boy I don’t see a reason to strike.
