Has anyone heard anything about layoffs for ELT/Nat Geo?

I would sell NGL to Disney as they own 21st Century Fox and all of Nat Geo's media assets. Why would they not want also to be in in all the schools? That was Nat Geo's vision when they created NG School. Why can't these companies do something right for the world and the students?
There has been talk for years about NGL being spun off or sold. My guess is they will want things neat and trim as things move forward.
Years ago we were told that within a year all of Cengage would be under the NG brand. Not sure how that didn’t happen.
To the above poster, I agree about the Jobbs speech. PJ should have taken over and he should have been shown the door. Does he still wear bowling shirts?
None of the pets. Maybe DH will make believe he’s Steve Jobs and give the same speech he’s been giving for years.

Nope. There will be layoffs at NGL as well. NGL came up short just like everyone else at Cengage.
They're being told they're doing well, that their numbers look good (better than all other sectors in the company), not to be worried, etc. But even without layoffs I don't see how they can remain unaffected.
They are not going to be spared. Whoever makes it past this round of layoffs will be expected to pick up the slack for those who got let go.
"All sectors of the company" most likely means just that. It's anyone's guess, really, just gotta wait until early November like everyone else. And that's just for this round of layoffs, there are more coming sooner (if the merger is denied) or later (if the merger goes through).
