Stores are now out of favor and a drag for the company. So what! Realize that leadership is interested in one thing. Shareholder Returns! .....Cut, cut, cut expenses. Where? The stores! It's easy! Executives know that the companies future is NOT in Front store. They also know that their jobs depend on results. ( Earnings ) Investing for dummies. CVS stock is undervalued and recommended by many advisors. Maybe you want to make it work for you.

Getting rid of front store is risky, but nothing sells unless you are fooled into the extracare coupon scheme. But also guess who doesnt care? The 50 million/yr pied piper himself and his thousand rats. They got consumers by the short hairs and are required to come to CVS.
Totally agree! These low volume stores are struggling to run these stores on below minimum hours for little gain. Corporate should close these stores and move these hours to stronger stores that need more hours to be able to grow and give great customer service.
Agreed! How can you run a store on 100 hours a week?
12-15k a week? I am not trying to insult you, but the company should not even have that store open. I know there are many like it and that’s a problem. They were so obsessed with store count and market presence when we were growing and never stopped to think about if the store was worth opening in the first place. Now they have these stores running on impossible and laughable payroll and they are ruining good managers.

January 12, 2020 is the start date for the new operational hours change. All the stores that are being effected found out this week. It’s out there folks. The real question is how many hours will they give these stores to operate on? 154 is the new minimum will it be the same? 100 or 125. Store managers is 45 of that pot. You can’t even take a vacation with out district support. Sick day, forget about it. You will have to schedule that.
I thought CVS stood for consumer value store.

Not eliminating, but changing...big time. We are basically the vessel for their vision.
Potentially eliminating the front store is a risky move that may or may not pay off. The stores are what CVS are known for.
