I call BS, that's not how Boeing works.
I'm 100% sure there will be layoffs, but I have been through a few as a contractor and direct and that's not how it works.
My team was let go on Wednesday. We got a work stoppage letter and were out the door by 4:00. No notice, no anything. Thank goodness that I already had another job lined up.
Boeing = Toxic environment to work in. So damn glad to be out! Only future there is for young millennial's, but they seldom stay longer than 2-3 years, then head over to Amazon or other tech companies. Boeing is horrible to anyone who has less than 10 years experience there and are > 40 years of age. I try to fly Airbus now, whenever possible.
Just had a manager tell people today word is company wide 1st shift only. 2 nd and third gone. Obviously seniority will prevale. That’s news comming out of Texas. We shall see.
Na, WARN notices will be next month. Last drop dead date they have to do it, to save the company a couple of bucks by not paying out the hourly folks the remainder of their signing bonus is 11/1/2019, with a last day on payroll of 1/1/20. The hourly requirement to get their bonus is be on active payroll 1/3/20.
Stock down $25 and possible criminal charges coming. Sounds like great news.
