Thread regarding Symantec Corp. layoffs

Transfer of employment notice given to sections of India employees

Surprisingly the transfer of employment is to CA Technologies and NOT to Broadcom!
What does this mean ?

No to all of the above. This is just how Broadcom has structured their business. Check out the legal notice that went out to all Symantec customers (do some digging around - you can find it). It basically stated that your invoicing will be changing from Symantec COUNTRY (whatever legal entity your country was set up as) to the corresponding legal entity that Broadcom has. In almost all cases, it’s CA COUNTRY. Nothing to see here. Lots of other interesting conspiracies to look into, but not this one. This is just broadcom being cheap and simple and how they structure.

What? We can be assigned/transferred to other divisions of Broadcom. Is this true?

It make sence, CA has lower severance package compare to Broadcom in case they don't like you. All the daily wage labor will be in CA and not in BC.
