For those folks affected by the mass layoffs in CA, Art mentioned the CA WARN Law. He indicated that those in CA that got sev packages could not accept offers from new companies for 60 days. Or, was it during their sev term? He needed to confirm with HR and Legal on that but hoping someone had any confirming info on this law?

People who receive termination notices must wait until after their actual termination date in order to receive severance benefits. If one leaves and starts another job between the notice date and the termination date, it's as if you resigned and therefore lose severance benefits.
