Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

How’s it working out for everyone that stayed? Is merging the legacy utilities like mixing oil and water? Is it bringing out the best of both worlds or just caving to the lowest common denominator?

How would you expect people to act especially when all there is talk of coming together and zero results. Asked to follow legacy Union policies that are no longer on the defunct Source or here or there

This sounds a lot like what happened at Spectra.

do you mean the people who are making dumb decisions or the people that can’t contain their reactions?

Yes, I heard another round in March 2020. And even if it’s not then, there is no doubt it’s coming soon. Luckily for the rest of us, I think there are a number of people essentially writing their own severance papers with their behaviour as of late.

Rumours already floating around of some more ReOrging ready to happen. Jeez.

Great merger.
Less benefits. Less pension. Less pay.

More somewhere. Not for me.

I’m sure the current group of leaders will all take plenty of credit for “leading change” on their performance reviews and career mosaics.

All I’m going to say is that it takes a certain kind of leader to lead through this type of change. They did not select directors, VPs or the EVP based on this ability and it’s extremely evident.

So what you're saying is the results from employee engagement weren't sufficient?

Well Cynthia and Jim thank you for asking. I dont blame you for your ignorance no. I blame all those Director level and senior managers that have been actively working to control the message upwards and skirting all opinion and work of the professionals working below them. I truly feel that this merger is k–ling these two companys.

We will be lucky if 1/4 of Cynthia's objectives would be meet.
