Union Strong, what a load of c-ap. I don't mean that as a reflection of a persons character nor do I direct that towards any individual or group of individuals. It's only a fact that the Union's that represent Telco employees were created by and maintained by the company's themselves and have the companies agenda as a blueprint for how to do buisness. How many terminations occur in members last years before retirement eligible? How many get a retirement with benefits compared to before frontier or with frontier compared to others? How has the bullying of members by management been able to become commonplace? With a nod from the Union's as we members have to set and listen to how it's all for our own good. The day of going out and do your job and give the man a days work for a day's pay has been replaced by going out and do your job and then having to hear how you are the problem. You make to much, you never do enough and you don't deserve to even be here. It's bad when it comes from the company but when have to hear it from your unions it makes you realize that the company does have their ear and support.
Florida operations was always the moneymaker and innovator. We led the rest of the corporation. I could write a book. FIOS is a great system, when it's maintained properly. Resistant to lightning is why it's number one in Florida. Only the ONT's are susceptible. Maybe making the case out of aluminum and grounding them would take care of blown ONT's. Who knows what's next in network infrastructure. There is a lot of fiber being buried around Tampa at this time. Is Spectrum digging in to take over? Or, maybe we are seeing Duke Energy/Teco or Google fiber coming around. We just have to wait and see. Or, maybe someone will leak some documents on the current subject. ;)

I understand completely what conspiracy theory means. You don't seem to understand the context of my post which WAS: Allen NOC moving to Florida, OR Florida being sold. You can't have it both ways. So pick your theory (or rumor if you like that word better) and stand your ground and explain why you think either of these possibilities are true. Without facts - you're just clucking like a bunch of chickens. And I already told you why I'm here. So my coworkers and I can read your dumb posts and laugh at you!!

California is a hard one! The local union and managers have been lied too for years thinking California was a money maker. California is a total DEBT maker considering total operational cost. Many of the yards have been sold and they have sent crews scattered across the footprint. I would think because the FIOS is not regulated by the PUC it could be sold for the fiber layout for 5G deployment. On the other hand the copper would need a skeleton crew to operate its few accounts left.
17b debt restructuring sounds like a whole mess of layoffs too.

You are right They need to lay-off as many FL managers as possible. Especially the spineless do nothing GTE and VZ holdovers that are still taking up space. They contribute next to nothing to FL’s bottom line. You could replace them all with moon rocks and nobody would notice.
Restructuring means #### loads of managers are going to get laid off. You just wait and see.

With “Allen NOC” moving to Florida the new strategy must be to keep Eastern Footprint of FTR. With the North West sold, rumor is California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are next to be sold. That would ultimately be following the Foot Steps of Verizon and keep it “East Coast Only”.
There is no truth to that statement. I am a union steward and can honestly say that management wants a new contract with IBEW. Frontier would never sell Florida because of the sheer amount of money we produce. So far, they are agreeing to all of our demands. Be union strong!
