Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Who thinks this is a good idea?

How many people here think the whole "adding rides" strategy is a good idea?

I personally think it can't hurt, but the money that'll be invested in it could be used for better purposes. There are plenty of better ways to get SeaWorld back on its feet...

What do you think?

People don't come to SeaWorld to ride the one sad roller coaster that's up and working that day. They come for the ANIMALS! Despite this glaringly obvious point, half the tanks in SD (Manta underwater/Aquaria/Penguin) are leaking and the foundation is rotting underneath. It's an absolute disgrace that not a single animal facility has been structurally upgraded for over two decades, but by all means let's spend another couple million on a coaster like the illustrious TIDAL TWISTER (same contractor as Sub Quest.....I'm sensing a pattern). "There is no other coaster experience in the world like Tidal Twister,” - Marilyn Hannes. LOL

If anyone is having difficulty understanding the war against SW pertaining to our animals. Simply Google: "Agenda 21 animal rights."
No...Agenda 21 is not a conspiracy. A treaty was actually signed with the UN by a US sitting president. We're not alone, almost every nation also signed this treaty.
Here comes the negative numbers!!!!!
I don't care, the truth will set you free.

I’m a perfect world it might be animals first and that may be the case at SW parks. But in reality the per cap to employee is extremely low due to the animals. At BGT the animals are not what attracts guests to the parks. It’s the rides. The animals are a wonderful extra but a very costly one. If BGT moved all animals off property to a separate facility or stand alone zoo this park would be making money hand over fist. I’m sorry but it’s true.

We always put animals first. The Education department will not support this rides first thinking.

Rides first, conservation second. Hate seeing the animals pushed to the back burner but I feel that’s the only way.

It’s a theme park. What else are you going to do besides add rides...

Animals clearly weren’t drawing people in. At least they’re investing in the parks. I’m not sure what you expect.
