And so the layoffs will begin this month with engineering realignment.

Inside Info: "realignment" is one of the many code words for layoffs.

Polish those resumes. Engineers first, and I'm sure the shop floor is next in the not to distant future.

For those using the Colorado WARN reports to question whether there were layoffs at Jeppesen, refer to the following article. It is regarding the loose enforcement of WARN regulations:
https://www.coloradoan.com/story/money/2016/03/17/colorado-worker-adjustment-retraining-notification/81871740/
I also noticed some major omissions in the Colorado WARN report. Examples: Sears, Payless Shoes, and Sprouts. All of them closed some stores in Colorado.

Just want to repeat what I said moths ago. There will not be any layoff at Boeing now. Reading news, people. Boeing is hiring contractors for Moses Lake factory with $15000 signing bonus. The Max will fly again very soon, and Boeing needs workers to service all the grounding airplanes before delivery after the grounding is lifted? Think about it. The only thing that Boeing needs to do now is to get rid of the first line managers or at least retrain them. These are the ones that post the threat to the quality of the airplanes. These people don't care much about quality but quantity. They suggest new people to violate the company quality policy sometimes to make the daily number. Just ask the mechanics at Boeing and you will believe what I just said.

I don’t know why the Jeppesen layoffs were not in the Colorado WARN report. The number of people laid off may be below the required number to file the report.
It seems like some respondents are disputing that there were layoffs.

Funny, neither the april 2019 layoff at Jeppesen or the one you claim to have happened yesterday is listed on the Colorado state WARN website

It's amazing, you can't say ID10T on this forum it gets edited (id–t), but some how that gets through.

Anyway, it's the 19th, any of y'all laid off yet?

Haha my thoughts exactly.... planes may very well be ungrounded (at least in the US) by Nov. and all the fear mongers will have to find another situation to sulk about. Not to say there won’t be other hurdles in the future for the company and its employees but at least the “big layoff” may be averted for now.
