99% of that article was a history piece on Frys with 1% the same statement which a store manager has probably repeated for 8-9 months now.
Its no more actual info. If you want actual facts, several long-term store managers have seen the actual writing on the wall and left the company. In fact, most associates have left or are being driven out with no hours. There is a hiring freeze, even if key positions leave they simply transfer whats left into that position, if someone will take it. A lot of positions end up empty. Every month the company “restructures” leaving positions eliminated.
Its been like this for 5 months its an obvious dwindle every month. There is no uptick of anything positive, only candy-coated reasons for this or that which just end up being eliminations of stores, positions, and even warehouses which stored more then just merchandise.
If you read store policy youd be clueless what is correct or who does what because no ones bothered to plan all the changes out and no one updates anything. Its called a cluster F in the military.
Frys is getting pressured for answers and they are giving vague statements that have no real solidity or even hint of truth to them. You can say more product is coming, but even a single candy bar fulfills that statement as true. No real product of any quantity that will save the company has been seen in months.
Vague statement in an article that was mostly a buildup and no new information.
