Broadcom culture ?

Does Broadcom organise social events, team building, luncheon, parties ? How’s the experience would be ? What is it like working in Broadcom ?

Number of shares are meaningless so folks talking about the number of shares should quit the company as you are too stupid to be of any value. The dollar amount of the grant is what matters. I would definitely rather have a grant of Broadcom stock of 500 shares (value ~$150k) versus 2000 shares of Micron (value of ~$116k).

@115OAr6J level 5, way less than 500 RSUs. Seems like we were all just give the same RSUs as the worst performing person with the same role and level. Based on personal experience and what I have heard from others high performers got screwed.

@115OAr6J-Pasl Care to post a number? I am former CA. Broadcom based RSU grants on title/band. For upper level(4 or 5), RSU grants were in the 500-5000 range. Considering the stock is at $300 plus that was not a bad number. They also have a huge dividend, so every quarter that your stock vest you get a nice cash payment. This year alone I've already received an extra $1000 just from dividend.

The RSU grants to Symantec employees were a joke. Not sure if the poster above who said 'lot of RSUs' was kidding or just uniformed what they could command in the open market.

Don't expect a pay raise after acquisition. And you d lose all the perks..

Time to move.

No. None of that. Ever. But they give out a lot of RSU's instead. Most of us are pretty happy with that tradeoff.

Nothing. You just work and get paid a lot

You don't get paid that well and benefits s—...they do give a ton of RSU's to employees so if you manage to keep your job (who knows if you're part of the new ES division), you can earn if you want to hang long term

Has to be a joke post. There is nothing touchy feely about Broadcom. You get paid to do your work, and that's it. Broadcom is purely transactional, so you get well paid for your work, but that's it.

Yeah, pretty funny post. BRCM is not a software company that holds events to keep their employees motivated. You work, they pay! That should be motivation enough.

No.

We are paid to work.
