They have brought in a mostly Indian staff to run IT and laid off people 50 and older to replace with mostly Indian colleagues from Waste Management. When I talk to friends who are still there, they are miserable. It was a sorry place to work for the past several years, so good riddance!
It's a weird thing that a CIO at Unum can be arrested for a DUI the night of the Super Bowl while driving back to Chattanooga from Atlanta. Was he at the game? Did he pay for his own ticket? I thought there were rules about accepting gifts from vendors. It seems the company doesn't care that he spent the night in jail. It says something about their morale compass.
