Was in this store December 2018 and it was busy and well stocked for Christmas. Went back again in February 2019 and it was a ghost town on a Saturday, very unusual for a Fry's. Was in the store today to see if the rumors are true, and they are.
First, the store had maybe 10 people working in it. Consumer electronics shelves were bare. There were no iPhones or high end Samsungs, no home routers at all, the hard drive section was bare. Nobody was working the CPU/memory upgrade counter. Whole aisles were empty. Locked cages for merchandise were empty.
The laptop section had two whole empty tables. You couldn't buy an ethernet cable, because none were in stock.
Shelves with remaining merchandise were tastefully re-arranged to look nice.
The TV section was re-arranged and they had plenty of stock of larger flat panels. Small ones mostly gone.
I heard another customer asking an employee if Fry's was going out of business, made me LOL. It's so obvious they are. At 2:00PM on a Saturday they had only two people working registers, no line, and one girl dutifully checking receipts to make sure you weren't stealing.
So Long, Frys!
