None of what is happening right now is the fault of employees. People I work with are among the smartest I have ever met and they all know how to do their jobs.
But it's really hard to do your job properly and get good results when our leadership is making wrong decisions left and right. We acquired three companies in as many years and it is obvious to everybody how little planning went into anything beyond the actual acquisition. To say the integrations were a mess would be an understatement.
Then there are the constant restructurings that come with their share of layoffs. How do you expect people to focus on their work if they have to always worry about having a job next week or month???
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. If we want to see 2U get back on the right track, we need new people in charge - hopefully some who'll know how to lead a growing company.
