All of our merchandisers were told they will be around tell after November to help stores with issues and man power. Drivers will be the first to go in the first week of November. Saleman will be gone after November 16th and same for route relief. Route will be re routed in the next couple of weeks for bidding. Last day of any delivery will be Nov 3rd. We have no clue what we will be doing after that.

Baking like last year is what the merch will be helping with
So glad to be on the team I was on. Not a big district, but mostly high tenured guys. Never dealt with all these immature games and whining co workers. Yes the ab system was a mistake, you can thank frito lay for that one. Gentlemen, try to leave with your integrity and dignity, dont stoop to calling out your co workers annomously unless you would like to state your name and city if work. Act like men, not teenagers.
I was an a/b for a couple of years- the pay was good but the sales reps would dump on you, forcing you to write small orders when it was their time to merch. The b driver would skip delivery days and bomb me and the a would bomb and whine to the dsl if I wrote too heavy. I would do all the heavy lifting and they would start at 4 am and be done by 9 am. My dsl knew about it but he wasn’t a field guy. Just came in at 9 sat in the office and twiddled his fingers for 5-6 hours , the split.
80k base , plus safety, sales, performance based bonus scaled up to 10k. what an easy job
I don't know man, in my experience the AB's generally get the sh—end of the stick on most situations. I've worked with some decent ones and some not so decent, same goes for A's and B's. The problem I've seen is that generally the A's and B's are the older guys who only got the routes because of seniority and not because they are actually good at the job. Fine. But they go into it with the attitude that they know everything and everything should go the way they want because after-all 'it's their route'. Yet they then expect the AB to clean up all of their messes. My current situation, the A rep will order bare minimum all week, even skip orders mid-week and then turn around and dump huge loads in on the weekend. He's even gone as far to tell our FT Merch to skip the AB's stores every week to instead do his. The B rep couldn't write a decent order to save his life. I'm not sure if he even knows where the back freezers are at half of his stores. Then throws a hissy fit like my 3yr old if he actually has to work backstock at a store. So I mean it goes both ways, some have figured out how to do a decent job, some still don't have a clue after 10+ years. It's the Nestle way.
Wow same thing going on with our ab saleman or should I say recently promoted to lead route relief. All he does now is sit around at the depot with the boss to make sure he doesn't run out of toilet paper. We just found out today our thief delivery driver will be past November to help clean up and transport trucks. Dude has been stealing and selling product on the side for years. Feel sorry for the people who actually did there jobs.
Our AB's really s— now, leaving loads and way ordering for these stores. Bosses don't give a sh– never did nothing about it in the past. All they care about is applying for these stupid 2 nroc positions!
yeh but the marketcheck said the same stuff last year. they are keeping 1 merch per district depending how big our full timer was told he would not get his 60 days till oct. then its week to week but he will be doing nroc and such cause they would rather pay 15$ per hour than our salaries. we will be rerouted to one route starting oct.20 for 2 weeks for menards ,dollar generals, kroger ,and some targets.and still have four reps doing nothing until nov 5. just keep paying my route average for 25 hours a week.
I have a feeling they will be using us to build displays and stock shelves for the Nestle baking products leading up to the holidays. Every single account in my Marketcheck app now has questions asking if I built incremental displays and how many units I put on shelf for the the tollhouse, carnation milk, pumpkin pie stuff.
I’m a driver and i’m being kept on until the 23rd. The last 3 weeks you’ll be putting out fires , maybe nroc stuff , picking up equipment-gopher stuff.
