Thread regarding Fry's Electronics layoffs

Oxnard!

Just left Fry's Oxnard, nobody to check my sales slip with a pink highlighter...

I marked the receipt my self...

Sad...
Employees walking around dressed in street clothes.

Shelves bare...When this Oxnard store opened I was so happy I didn't have to go to Woodland Hills store anymore.

Piano Man was playing music.

Fry's Cafe had good coffee, I spent so much time here.
I came to this store on Grand Opening day and stayed from 11 am till 6 pm was thrilled at everything.

I wonder if the employees really know they are doomed...

Another Icon dead...

Frys in Oxnard is the best electronic store I’ve ever stepped a foot into , best price on appliances, not to mention TVs and monitors , they also have a cafe with delicious hot coffee . The trade wars might be affecting business but they still remain optimistic and positive. Great sharp salesmen , great atmosphere, good items and prices as low as even amazon, or even lower . I don’t know what the future holds for frys because clearly the internet is taking over in the modern world, but the employees have potential and can get any opportunity. Good luck guys . I love this place .

I was just in the Oxnard store today for the first time in a few months. And yes....the shelves are pretty empty. At first I thought they were readying for Xmas season sales, but when I saw NO keyboards or cables or exercise equipment, I asked one of the guys. He said he thought it might be either the Trump tariffs on China or Fry's negotiating with suppliers. Then I went to Best buy, and a guy there told me Fry's was shutting down. I will miss this store. I built my last 3 or 4 computers from parts from them and bought lots of great miscellaneous stuff over the years.
