Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Anyone at a Walmart in TX, GA or SC with a Care clinic?

HI, I see there are 20 free standing care clinics open in these states only, and they have optometrists at them,. My question is what happens to the existing optical departments inside WM? Did they close, or do they just sell glasses/contacts, or is it full service with existing optometrist?

I believe what they are doing is moving the vc’s so that they are on one side of an area, pharmacy on the other side (kind of like anchoring this section). And then the care clinics (or vet clinics as some may have) will be in the midst of this. It’s a very interesting concept but I’ll be surprised if this pans out, I think they’ll sc-ap it because the turn around isn’t going to be there.

Watching how WalMart wants to run their stores with only the minimum amount of help who they can pay only the lowest possible wage, does anybody really want to get their health care at a WalMart clinic?
