Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

Lanham - Leaving!

2U's the company's culture has changed quite a bit.

10 years ago the culture was progressive, innovative, supporting - amazing - it was a great place to work at, supportive culture....

As time progressed, people who started with the company in its inception are being placed in leadership roles that they are completely under qualified for.

Upper leadership within the organization is just plain poor, poor, poor... For example there is no need for manager role within the company If directors in the company actually did there job properly.

Paucek also announced the company merged its student admissions and student support teams and slashed 1.5 percent of its staff, which now numbers nearly 4,000 employees.

The cuts, he added, will save the company up to $3.5 million during the second half of the year and up to $12 million in annualized savings. The employees affected are mostly management-level.
