@-rsh I wasn't aware folks already been notified of termination. Do you know what the termination date listed on the email or letter was? I'm curious if it's November 4th or not. Regarding the RIF numbers, you are correct; it will be around 5k give or take a few hundred. My original guess of 10-12 times was specifically for employees in the CA state and not the global workforce.
Might even be higher. If one starts at 12,000 and Norton keeps 2500 and Enterprise keeps 4500, then the total RIFs is approximately 5000. The question is: how many of the 5000 have been notified already - I've heard between 1000 and 2000 - and how many more are there to come.
Multiply these numbers by 10 or 12. That is what to expect here soon for November. Or perhaps it's February/March 2020; I heard the acquisition/close date was pushed out, but I'm uncertain.
There's a good chance these numbers apply to people who have been notified already with a termination date of 10/15. The WARN notice was received on 9/4. The notice date was 8/20. The effective date is 10/15.
