PTO Pay Out & Bonus Multiplier

I haven’t seen the VSP offer yet. There are rumors that the PTO pay out and 150% bonus multiplier won’t be included, which means it won’t be equivalent to COC. If that’s the case, $50k+ is too much to leave on the table. If that’s the case, then I’ll just stay and wait. If they lay me off with full COC, great. If not, then I’ll stay and do the bare minimum for Oxy. You’re still protected under COC for 3 years, which means you’re protected from future downturn potential and likely additional layoffs. It’ll be glorious, and I’ll keep getting paid every day. Oxy has done NOTHING to try to entice us or meld our cultures, so I will do nothing for them in return.

@gip - except that chevron was actually decent to work with in all the early integration meetings. it may be the chevron way, but they weren’t bad. open communication, trying to learn from the best of apc and focused on culture. releasing faqs every 2 weeks to everyone. oxy was a polar opposite. of course chevron had bsg as their integration firm. oxy sc-aped the barrel with mckinsy. u get whatcha pay for.

Tarantula, melding of cultures starts day 1 and before. It starts with org structures, input from both sides, actually trying to take the best from both sides, etc. None of that is happening. Anyone who has been through acquisitions knows that melding cultures is the most important aspect of success. Oxy has repeatedly failed on this front. It’s the Oxy way or else. Force fit APC into Oxy in bits and pieces. Except they aren’t large enough (like Chevron) compared to APC to take this stance and succeed. Nobody at APC is happy except those who are about to leave. Oxy has created a poisoned environment which will spread and grow and fester. Just ask BP: it’s so much easier avoiding a catastrophic mess from the beginning than trying to clean it up after it happens. The spill has started; no going back now.

yeah, we'll need dis clarified

As for the bonus, i’m Working under the assumption it will be prorated as well but that is something that needs to be clarified.

In our session it was explained that the PRO decision was between what’s in the CoC (prorated) or better (full year).
