Thread regarding Symantec Corp. layoffs

Is it safe to assume mid-market is of no interest?

Based on the hi Enterprise 2000 customers mentioned recently in the media, is it safe to assume mid market related staff are getting the chop?

Broadcom does not care about mid-market they only care about the largest spenders of IT in the world.

@10wz4ojw-8ful Art said that they will try to reduce the total number of channel partners significantly. Currently there are 30.000 Symantec partners globally - Broadcom has 45 (I did not forget any zeros).

If Mid-Market and Enterprise is non-focus - That means Channel becomes redundant??
What happens to our "Enterprise/Mid-Market" current customers?? Do Channel still service them??

Strong focus on the Global 2000 with no apparent interest in mid-market.

Given BC's need to take people and costs out of the financials, I'd also say yes. Look for a trimmed down product portfolio, a top performing sales force, and minimal cost shared services.

Yes I would say so - their focus is on the global 2000 and in particular the top 500 companies in the world
