Planning to give a two week resignation notice

I heard that I will be walked out immediately after I give my two week resignation notice.

Anyone with similar experiences.

Walk yourself out. Don't forget to turn out the lights and lock the door.

You will not be walked out immediately, anyone who says otherwise is full of sh*t.

Source: Gave my two weeks notice earlier this year, phoned it in for those two weeks, left the company seamlessly.

You won't be able to badge into the building the next morning and security will take you up to your office so you can get your things.
Take a cardboard box with you to work.

Why does it matter if you are "walked out immediately"? You are planning on leaving anyway. A prudent move would be to gather any of your personal stuff and get it out of QCOM property before giving notice.

I would assume that you would be paid for two more weeks even if you were "walked out". If not QCOM is joining the ranks of absurd companies. Either way, make your planned exit.

I don't really get the reason for this post.

Some guy gave like a 3 month notice and left within that time frame. Not with a competitor though, but then again we a are a monopoly.

Generally this is not the case unless they are worried you will steal IP.

If you are going to a direct competitor it is possible they will choose this option.

If you are leaving on reasonably good terms it's unlikely they will walk you out.
