SYMC Federal has s—ed for years. Leaders only last a few years, then quit or are fired. Field sales doesn't have quality products to sell. Bluecoat's CASB is riding the coattails of the Federal government's data center consolidation trend, but that won't last forever with AMZN and Google taking the lion's share of that pie for the foreseeable future.
Why is the Federal sales team getting trashed? I have had no problems with them.
Ummm, that seems like a strange comment. Symantec basically had poor results within the Federal Sales group before the Blue Coat acquisition, in the 3 years since Symantec Acquired Blue Coat the sales are more than 5 fold what they were pre acquisition and 75% of that business has been from the Blue Coat products.
Perhaps you can name some names....Most of the Blue Coat sales team rolled out.
I certainly agree. The new Federal Sales is as clueless as one can get!
