Can we expect more layoffs at Compucom today or can I hope beyond hope that yesterday was it?
The fact I'm up in the middle of the night checking for any news regarding layoffs shows just how badly this whole thing has affected me. If anybody can provide me with some info, I'd be really grateful.
Back in 2019 I was let go by them prior to COVID. I worked on the financial team supporting a moderately large regional bank. I was pretty senior on their staff for the account.
I put in 13 years with CC, they let me go without warning but did offer a severance package.
My current job pays well +5$/hr over CC, I am not destroying my car.
I dedicated 8 years of my life at compucom only to come in one day and was layed off absolutely no forewarning. My manager never gave me the time of day but on that day offered we go out for coffee, what a joke. I had the most seniority in my group yet the first to go but was assured l provided excellent service, again another joke. I fought for fair severence, l was made an offer and accepted. To this day am still waiting for a letter of reference l was promised instead l got proof of employment letter a joke in every sense of the word. I am a single mother and struggle yet all the while grateful to no longer be working for this pathetic excuse for a company, be grateful if they let you go...THIS PLACE AND PEOPLE'S ARE A JOKE.
That company is just awful. I wasted 2 years of my life there. I was the most certified tech in our area and never got a raise. I would live under a bridge before I would work for those a–holes again.
I am so sorry you have to go through this.
Get out. The job market is amazing, you have valuable skills other employers are looking for.
