Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

15 Days since FL contract expired

No proposals or negotiating from Mgmt. No updates or expectations from the Union. Frontier can terminate with 90 days notice. Seems inevitable now.

Has there been any movement on this contract?

The lines between the two are very often blurred ..... hell they have been known to be in bed with each other the last couple years. LITERALLY.

Whoever wrote this ...."As a union steward, I can assure you that we are making progress. The problem is all management. Every time we make an offer, the only response they give us is uncontrollable laughter. This is a frustrating technique on their part. Rest assured, they need IBEW and we know it. We’re in it to win it!"

***You know that's not true. IBEW is not needed. IBEW is what holds companies back from doing what they want. IBEW is nothing but a middle man. Companies want to deal directly with the employees and control what they want to pay versus an agreed upon benefit/pay package. IBEW has been feeding employees stories that they are there for them. They are not there for the employee, they are there for themselves. Look how many companies IBEW has picked up to represent, Frontier is no longer their main focus. It use to be GTE, then Verizon and then Frontier came along. The union is no longer what it use to be or says it is. Mgmt controls the contract, not union.

Nope. “Shut the hell up”. “Stop creating mass hysteria “. Be a good little worker bee. DonT you dare get of line and speak freely. No opinions allowed at Frontier.

Look if FTR had any intentions of continuing along with the current pay structure for its FL employees then it would have already done so. The union already gave away the farm with regards to benefits and pensions during the final contract with Verizon. All so we could be dumped off on the cheap to a low cost rural carrier. So what else does FTR have to gain by not coming to terms now other a massive pay cut? Nothing!
