Let me see if I get this straight, @qrmo. Unions are ruining industries by demanding employees be paid for all the work they do? As they have to be, according to the law? For preventing companies from skirting the law by not paying employees any overtime because employees are doing it "off the clock, of their own free will?"
You have to be trolling, right?
The Unions in the USA are ruining industry across every sector. State Street is wise not to allow unions to form in the US. If you are depending on a union to help "save" your job, banking/finance may not be the right industry for your career path. People work very hard in this industry and demanding to be paid for every minute you have to work over 40 hours would bankrupt State Street.
State Street has union employees across Europe and must adhere to local governing policies regarding employees
Unions are destroying cities and towns. I'm glad State Street isn't unionized. As an EE here with many years of experience working in large corporations; anytime a union comes in, the company folds. The US would be best to outlaw unions. State Street is protected from becoming a union shop and that will help it continue as the great company it is.
The company has protocols in place to eliminate any attempt at unionizing.
If you can afford to be fired with no severance that’s a great idea
Or a mass walkout?
