Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

PMIC QC or PMIC TI

I recently got my masters in power electronics and I have been looking for companies with relevant work and products. I want to work at a big company and I found that both Qualcomm and TI are good names in industry. I wanted to know which company of the two has better work environment, prospect, and interesting atmosphere overall.

When I was there, PMIC didn’t get the resources and respect that would help the entire chipset thrive.

It doesn’t involve RF so it’s the first to get sent overseas for the cheap labor. Hope you like really early meetings.

Texas Instruments will set you up with a powerful Cadence Concept tools you need to get the job done and go home at a decent hour. Qualcomm? Not so much.

How about Dialog Semi?

If at qcom you will work for, or with, brett walker then run away. TI was a really good company and really good coworkers when I was there.

Compare stock performance. TI stock would have made a lot more money for me had it stayed. Qcom price will only go down now relative to chip companies

PMIC design only at Qcom if you are considering coming here. If it is PMIC VI then run away, one of the worst teams at Qcom by far.
