Do Asms have to reapply for their positions?

Supposedly tho the ASMs cannot step down in theie own stores for one. Secondly there might not be any spots for them if the change the structure before them. Front end and fresh are going on now and the team leads and academy trainers will be in place before the ASM restructure.
People are forgetting the support managers and assistants will go after the team leader positions; some people will get a lower position with the pay cut (Dept Managers) pay attention!

Correct. Asms will have more chance to get a team lead spot. Opposed to DMs. Dms will have to find other positions. All this so no severance has to be given.
So with this new restructure.....ALL ASMS AND COs have to reapply for positions? This is gonna be nuts. If ASMs don't get a salaried position, they would have to apply for maybe a team leader position....which is going to be an all out fight over those positions with other DMs displaced. If I'm correct, there will be way less DMs in the store.

I hope so. There are at least three at my old store who desperately need kicked to the curb; they've been milking that teet for decades in some cases, doing nothing but waddling their fat, flacid behinds around, barking orders on the floor, constantly phone scrolling, and hiding in any available office.
There's a horrid, wakey wakey / eggs n' bakey Monday morning coming for thes epeople I would LOVE to be there to see ~)

So most likely co mgrs will get the spots....so what happens to the ASMs...do they get laid off?
Yes and it is considered a promotion. More money means everyone will be trying to get it. Plus all the co manage will apply since it is the new co manager level. It will all be announced at stores soon most likely from the orlando powerpoint
