Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Pleasanton Office

Workday just finished building a new campus in Pleasanton, CA. ADP has been in Pleasanton quite awhile but it has been rumored for years that it will be closed. Any thoughts on ADP keeping this office open to stay relevant in the Bay Area/Northern California?

I think it’s very sad that thousands of hard working employees have lost their jobs with ADP. Corporate greed has taken over and while lives are destroyed and families are suffering hardships you have a CEO who is making millions per year. Carlos is nothing but a greedy corporate pig who only cares about his own pockets.

I know it’s tempting to think that management will change their minds and not close an office or not lay off this or that category of employee, or by some miracle the bloodshed will stop, but I am not trying to be unkind because I truly understand the fear and emotion involved in having your livelihood or long tenured position taken from you, but it is honestly just magical thinking. It has been said time and again, and said directly by Carlos, that if you are not in a strategic location working in an office 5 days a week you will eventually be shown the door. Y’all need to believe him when he says it. It’s not a matter of if, but when, and the when is close. I was told 2 years ago not to move to another office because it was unsafe and that Owings Mills was a safe location, and they’re now closing. All of you that do not fit in that criteria need to stop wishing and hoping that it won’t happen and get serious about finding a secure place to go to because that severance is gone fast. Stop letting ADP control you with fear and take that control back. It will feel so much better to just accept it and move on, rather than waiting for them to make that move. Own your power by realizing that experience is worth something in the market!
