That’s a lot of real estate to unload. If they’re renting a Greenway would it make sense to shift north?

It also depends on the current Greenway lease. If it is a long-term lease it might be cheaper to rent more space around Greenway to keep a headquarters there. At least they will have a presence in The Woodlands for a year or so. Most energy jobs are in Downtown and the Energy Corridor. At least Downtown wins out in my book because of the mass transit opportunities for buses, etc. Only time will tell. Greenway is just on the other side of Downtown, and it looks like The Woodlands Express has service to and from Greenway. For now it is all about paying down debt fast, and I would assume the Anadarko campus would bring 200-300 million.
Rumor has it that Oxy has an agreement in place with Howard Hughes Corp to buy the towers. Supposedly they plan on leasing the buildings from HHC for a year after the deal is in place.
Let's hope so.
