Plant is starving for work, but we can't seem to sell a meter anymore so sales and back log have hit rock bottom. If things don't pick up in the next month I expect a massive layoff.

It is imminent that management will accept that no one can handle the Erie plant, and give up on it. Rumor has it that the products business will be sold. Same with the Germany plant, years of bad management selection in the US and Germany are proving the point that you need to know the business if you want to manage it. The whole thing is an unmanageable disaster now. In four years or more under big “A” management nothing has improved, on the contrary, everything is worse that before. He destroyed the systems business as well. Both plants will do better under new ownership, that is for sure. We will finally be owned by a company who cares about our business.
- Reduce support and revenue on products side
- Convince stakeholders they aren’t worth maintaining
- Sell product lines
- Focus on iEPCI(TM)
- Profit?
Very well put the exact same problem exists at the stephenville plant and the results have been the same. It's strange how the problem is so obvious yet absolutely no action is taken. Like the objective is to go out of business.
Poor management transcends to overall unproductive workforce, including salary employees. This overall effect results with dissatisfied customers, not only with delivery, but performance of their equipment.
Dissatisfied customers ultimately result in going to another supplier that can and will meet the customers expectations.
