i am currently “employed” by frys.. if you can even call it that. i can definitely vouch for the fact that this store is going out of business. A/C doesn’t even work, we don’t have any toilet paper, nothing on the shelves, people are getting 0 hours, ETC.
and allegedly they’re getting rid of commission. randy fry really did good this time.

I went to the Austin store today. I asked 'where is everything?'. The employee told me 'We sold it', then blamed 'the tariffs' on why there was nothing on the shelves. The store had lots of employees, though.
at the renton, wa location as i type this and boy is it depressing. store's a ghost town, and mostly empty shelves. s—s, because i loved shopping here. rip fry's
Went to Fry's in Roseville Ca. yesterday. It was a ghost town, hardly anybody in the store. Sad to see how slow it was there. Hope things turn around. Fry's was one of my favorite places to shop for computer parts. My first computer build was with parts that I purchased from Fry's. They always had everything you needed to build a complete system. Hope this slump isn't due to windows 10 cause it bites the big one!
those harassment suits were back in 2012 chapter 11 would keep them from having paying the full amount on any money owed (except State and Federal) chapter 11 normally are just pennies on the dollar so they owe lets say 1000.00 they probably would only have to pay $1 to their supplier. Actually the lower the amount owed the less likely the supplier would see any money from the settlement. + you actually have to have money to file. It is not cheap to file chapter 11
I have seen comments that all Frys have low inventory and appear to have a skeleton crew running the stores. I seen this atThe Renton store.
Also recently Frys lost a s-xual harassment lawsuit for 2. 3 million fine... If more suits are in the wings, why would the company try chapter 11 just to pay out more settlements?

I love how I tried to buy the 570X Corsair Case floor model and all they want to take off is 5% LOL..... This is why this store s—s compared to Newegg & Amazon.
There hasn't been AC in the non-customer parts of the Las Vegas Fry's since last year. It's 106 today and it S—S to step off the sales floor. At least we still have toilet paper though.
But yeah, our store is done. There's only 24 team members still officially employed, but only a dozen getting hours. We're changing hours from 10:00-9:00 to 11:30 - 7:30. Rumor is that our water and electric bill hasn't been paid in 4 months and they're going to get shut off soon.
One might think someone would file chapter 11 and look for investment capital. Since they're not doing that, I suspect there is a scandal they are hiding or running from. I wonder if Randy Fry is even in-country anymore. Wonder if the $15/hr minimum wage is somehow affecting this.
Fellow Fry's "employee" here. I haven't had any hours for the last three weeks. Hopefully the unemployment office will be kind to me.
