Halt in production, followed by productions cuts.. No more orders and backlog will diminish...No bonuses...All because of bad management... Warns should be coming soon..
For the person that said were keeping the same head count not sure how much time you have with the company, been through 5 layoffs. That’s what they always say. Writings on the wall. Plane will never carry passengers again. Sad to say.
I came across an involuntary reduction in force schedule the other day.
Now normally I wouldn’t think anything of it, because the company puts out a redeployment/RIF schedule every year. It doesn’t mean that they will do it. However, IF they are going to, then those are the days they will hand out 60 day notices.
What caught my attention that was different, is two rounds in Oct, not one, with last noted day on payroll of 12/17/19. Plus, it stopped there. Past years’ schedule it plans out to Dec, with a last day on payroll after first of the year, and once a month.
For IAM, it makes sense. Company is due to pay $5K remaining signing bonus to anyone on active payroll on Jan 3. They laid off right before the $10K signing bonus last time, just to bring people back a couple months later.
It would not be wise for the company to announce a RIF, until they’re ready....sabotage is a big problem. You get disgruntled people that either receive a notice, or think they’re going to get one, and they do stupid stuff like go into middle of wire bundles, nicking or cutting wires, then put wire bundle back together, leaving a tremendous amount of work for functional test and electricians. If the company is going to layoff, the dates they’ll hand out notices:
8/21, 9/18, 10/9, 10/30. Four rounds is not much, but depends on how deep they go.
Good luck, may the odds be ever in your favor.
Just had our meeting with our group and we’re keeping heads at same level. Calm down people.
Big layoffs ahead.
Have you seen me ?
Where I work we got quarterly all hands meetings so I’m not worried, we’ve all been wondering when it was going to be actually:
pimps dont cry
A record number of aircraft deliveries and a rapidly expanding aircraft services business lifted Boeing's net profit up 24% year-on-year in 2018 to $10.5 billion.
I would bring a box of tissues to the webcast.

- An all-company meeting is called
This is the ultimate, and most obvious, sign.
“If a consulting firm shows up,” she says, “or an all-company meeting is called, I’m sorry — it’s usually too late. It’s over.”
