Thread regarding ADP layoffs

What do employees get?

Is there a good severance package? Any retirement benefits? Or is it just a kick out the door?

The Severance package isn't great but it's not bad, but generally speaking it's largely contingent on the number of bodies you know the burial sites of. It comes with a contingent NDA, to keep you from openly breaking it. Truth of the matter is, in this day and age there are a million ways to anonymize getting the dirt out to the competition's sales team, so the only downside to signing it is you can't sue them in open court.

Bonus 'might' be prorated or not given at all after a layoff or RIF. There is nothing in ADP policy which states that you get # weeks of pay for every year you were employed. It is completely at the discretion of ADP to decide if they will offer anything upon termination. If you voluntarily quit prior to June 30th, your entire bonus will be forfeited.

Anyone on this site ever Laidoff from ADP (not terminated for cause) without a severance offer, whether expected or not?

Companies are not required to give you any upon exit besides vacation and time work that is owed to you. ADP has offered one retirement package across the board, had multiple layoffs and firings since then and I hear word that there is a reduction in force (RIF) coming up. Do NOT stay with ADP because you intend to get money when you leave.

@10YT6I3U-1rkl - what type of bonus? Do you mean there is no bonus AFTER you leave? I know across-the-board bonus, incentive, is for all active employees even those on notice of layoff. Unless it was discretionary (hand over mouth).

Laid off employees do not get 2 weeks for every year worked. It is capped at a 6 month total. And there is no bonus.

Some laid off employees do not get any severance at all. It is at the discretion of ADP.

First- there is no guaranteed severance package.
Second- if it is offered, the maximum for non letter grade execs is 6 months of salary.
