This is nothing new. Once there is a new department created and the VP’s have no idea what they are doing and give random bonuses to get staff members to join this “amazing role that is going to make the company more money and satisfied clients”(so they say). Give it a yr later every one within that new role and more departments are laid off.
I suggest don’t create a new role if you know it is going to be a major fail business wise.
