I have applied so many times to positions listed in the careers section....yet nothing. An MSEE, telecom background and never one call or interview.
Can someone tell me why ?
Are all emoyees from MIT or something like that? Is that the hurdle ?

Don't believe all the BS you hear on the radio and television, the government started cooking the unemployment books in 1993 under clinton, and right now the percent of the population that is employed is something like a 10-year high among working-age people (25-54), all the news about 40-year highs is utter BS.

Without an internship or a reference from an employee, it's hard for your resume to reach the interested managers (unless you are a PhD from a well known university or have some big awards). Hiring works that way, not just in Qualcomm, but almost in every tech company, largely because there will be too many applications for most engineering jobs and hiring guys cant afford to go through all of them. So, they pick the ones that come from known sources.
sambhar smells are strong on 5th floor
Maybe you should watch this youtube video VbEQriZEfoI. Qualcomm culture is similar.
You are not Indian H1B
Even if you are going to get a call or interview. Expect them to ghost you for weeks/months.
